DanganRonpa™: Trigger Happy Havoc is a revised and revamped edition of a title originally released on the PlayStation®Portable in Japan in 2010. You'll take on the role of Makoto Naegi, a desperately average teenager who somehow finds himself accepted into Hope's Peak Academy, a prestigious high school normally reserved for the nation's. For PlayStation Vita on the PlayStation Vita, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Do you think Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is a good game?'
Let me start by saying that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is one of the craziest, but most awesome story-based games I have played in quite some time. This was originally released for the PSP the better part of a decade ago and I am kind of mad at myself that it ha taken me so long to play this, but man I am glad that I finally have!
Welcome To Hope Peak’s Academy
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is the kind of game that is very story-driven. The game is set in an “elite” school for gifted people and you playing as Makoto, get accepted into this school via some kind of lucky lottery system as you are pretty much average in every way. Upon arrival, you are knocked out and awaken where you are faced with this mean bear who informs you and the other students that you are held captive and the only way out is via murdering other students and getting away with it!

Parallel to it, the Kogama platform is growing, in which users also create their games and share them with the community to meet them. Here the most demanded games are parkour or PvP clashes. The peculiarity of Roblox is that the same users are the ones who can create the maps and set themselves in other very famous games that become fashionable at the moment. Roblox free login.
School Life
The gameplay of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is split into two sections. First up we have Class Life. Here you can traverse the school in the first-person point of view you move an icon around the screen that allows you to interact with characters and the environment. You have two sections of gameplay in the School Life portion of the game. One sees you being able to talk to classmates, getting to know them better, taking notes and so on. The other is where you come across a crime scene and must look for clues and figure things out. You get various skills that you can make use of to help you.
Class Trials
The other main section of the gameplay is the Class Trials and this is where your detective work comes into play. The students will have a heated discussion about who the killer is and you need to pay close attention here. Nonstop Debate, Hangman's Gambit, Bullet Time Battle and Closing Argument are the ways that the gameplay is split up and it is actually a great deal of fun. Having to pay attention, challenging what people say and then giving out your closing argument as you nail who you think the killer is! It is good stuff indeed and the kind of game that really does have you on the edge of your seat.
Overall, I think that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is a really cool game. Think of it as a darker and more intense version of the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney-Justice for All. It literally had me hooked about five minutes in and it was the kind of game that I legit did not want to stop playing. It is worth noting that while the PSP version is great, they did release a better version for PC which is what I have played so I would recommend that you play that one over the original.

Theshow shopper for the game is Danganronpa's immersive story andatmosphere. Like a good book that sucks you in, Danganronpa has thateffect with it's constantly moving plot full of incrediblyinteresting characters and surprises. The plot is constantly movinguntil the very end, decorated with wicked twists and turns that keptme guessing throughout the 25+ hours of story. What I was happy tosee is that in the games six main chapters, there was onlyone where I was 100% sure who the killer was - each mystery isheavily veiled, requiring careful examination of all possibleevidence to get the right clues to find the blackened student.
Thanksto music, voice acting and quirky graphics, the game's atmospheredoes a lot to keep it's mood and essentially never break character. The game's graphics are rendered in a 2.5D art style, with 2D characters placed on a 3D background. Cutscenes also look unique, combining anime art and sketch artwork to create a visual style that is distinctly it's own. One of my favourite parts of the game's graphics that if apart of the game really doesn't need crazy artwork, it instead uses aretro feel, with pixel art and sprites used on things like the map or eachcharacter's door signs. The music and visuals all have a distinctfeel that fits perfectly - things like having gruesome murder scenebut hot pink blood and dark looking school corridors lit by a neonlight create a disturbingly dark but light-heartedfeel that fits the game perfectly. Partnered with incredible voiceperformances whether you choose the English or Japanese voice track, the game is well-polished and stylish all at once.Takingadvantage of the visual novel format, Danganronpa's detail heavy andabsorbing story is delivered in the best way possible between it'stext and gameplay functions. While the game is text heavy, the wayDanganronpa adds gameplay to the visual novel format is smart and fits the 'who-dun-it' vibeby using puzzle-like elements. In each chapter, the first half goesthrough Daily Life, where you're taken through the chapter's mainstory and get the chance to get to know the cast through themini-social sim Free Time section. Once a murder occurs, the chapterswitches to Deadly Life. You're given Investigation Time where youfind the Truth Bullets you need for the Class Trial in the form ofevidence from the scene of the crime. During Class Trial time, youliterally shoot down weak ideas spoken by the class members, usingthe Truth Bullets you found earlier to counter againstcontradictions.
I wasimpressed at how the Class Trial takes full advantage of the PSVita's hardware, incorporating the back-touch pad, front touch-pad,triggers and other buttons all in this one section of gameplay, which isn't somethingI've seen in a Visual Novel style game. Class Trial throws intimed mini-games such as Hangman's Gambit (a mini-hangman-esque game)and Bullet Time Ballet (to my delight, a mini-rhythm gamefor when someone is mouthing off suspiciously) to keep thingsinteresting and finishes off with a puzzle game where you puttogether a chronological comic of all the events that have beenproven as fact in the class trial. The whole experience, along with the storyeach murder and the school's own mystery unfolding really kept me on my toes and I found myself becoming as shocked as the other character when a surprising fact was unveiled.

Ifyou like Visual Novels, are looking for an introduction or a game tolose yourself in, let me suggest one of my new favourites, TriggerHappy Havoc: Danganronpa. The plot left me entangled in it's depthsfor nearly 25+ hours and I was at the edge of my seat the entiretime. Partnered with varying gameplay elements and styles to keepthings interesting, it cannot be missed by fans of Visual Novels andrich stories for on the go. At this point in time, I call it the bestvisual novel game I've ever played and one of PS Vita's finest.
